Music

Not all of these recordings are "real" tunes; some are little clips I recorded to familiarize myself with some piece of equipment, or to pass the time. Others, I've put actual work into.

BeBot
A.W. Eldhuset
I named this track after the iPhone app I used for the lead synth. Quite an impressive instrument considering it's on a cell phone.
Plenty gitar
A.W. Eldhuset
This is called "Plenty gitar" because there's plenty of guitar in it. I made this after bringing Drumkit from Hell Superior (the old, original version) back from the dead. It's slow and clumsy, but the sounds are good. The bass is in fact a guitar transposed down an octave in Ableton Live.
MPD32
A.W. Eldhuset
This was my first shot at "playing the drums" with the Akai MPD32's "note repeat" function. With note repeat turned on, the MPD32 (and other, similar Akai products) will repeat any note you hold down with a frequency ranging from quarter to 32nd notes (straight or triplets), synchronized either to the internal metronome or to the click track in your digital audio workstation. Because the velocity continues to change based on how much pressure you put on the pads, this makes it fairly easy to play decent percussion tracks for non-percussionists. Very nice.
FunkyDrummerElektro
A.W. Eldhuset
This is just a drum loop all the way through. The "performance" part of it is the effects. I used this to play around with Beat Repeat, distortion, etc. in Ableton Live 8. I cut the drum samples from a certain track with a similar name by a well-known funk artist.
Pling
A.W. Eldhuset
This was recorded "live in studio", using a Boss DD-6 digital delay for the looping action.
In A Sentimental Mood
D. Ellington
Duet for guitar and drum loop.
Shamanamana
A.W. Eldhuset
I recorded this to try out the Studio Projects C1 microphone I had just bought. I think it sounds pretty good (the mike). That's a Velleman MK174 at the very end of the clip.
Sepia
A.W. Eldhuset
Featuring Anders Amundsen on bass and vocals, and Bjørnar Jokerud on drums. This was recorded towards the end of our year at Sunnhordland Folkehøgskole.
